Catalyst allows you to complete a Functional Analysis Assessment to better determine a behavior function. Organizations can customize and define the conditions for functional analyses. Each condition will have a name, such as the typical attention, escape, alone, and control. Though you are not limited to those four conditions. Users can do a 'synthesized condition' combining various conditions to meet your needs. Be sure to adequately describe antecedents (e.g., delivery of task demands, diversion of attention), as well as consequences for target behavior (e.g., ignoring, removal of tasks/prompts), in each condition.
Access Condition Defaults from the Administration Menu in the Administration Section.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click New Condition. The Add Condition modal displays.
- Enter the following information:
- Name (e.g. Modal Prompt)
- Abbreviation
Note: Abbreviations can be any two-character combination (upper/lowercase letters, numbers, or symbols). i.e. Escape | Demand could be abbreviated as ED, eD, Ed E1, etc.
- Conditional Definition - The definition is a detailed description for users and will display in the app.
Note: Be sure to adequately describe antecedents (e.g., the delivery of task demands, diversion of attention), as well as consequences for target behavior (e.g., ignoring, removal of task/prompts), in each condition definition.
